Unit Voicelines

Anyone know how to replace some of the unit voicelines with say, lines from battlecry 2? Some of the new lines for old units are just god awful (looking at you undead) and stright up sound like they were recorded lower quality. The lines in 2 were all very solid in my opinion and its a mystery to me why they went and used new ones that are just, as much as I hate using this word, cringey.

Replacing sounds is easy to do via the Unit Editor which can be found here: http://etheria.wikia.com/wiki/Tool_Downloads

Install in the main WBC3 directory, load the xcr you want to extract sounds from, extract them and then import them into the WBC3 xcr (sound xcrs can be found in <Main Folder>/Assets/Sides). Hope this helps.

I have original Warlords Battlecry II from disk. I want to get all the sound from the game (units, buildings etc) so i can modify in audacity just for fun. Too bad it's a XCR file so i cannot unzip it. Do i need XCRex plus in order to get it? Also is it safe?

WBC2 uses the same file architecture so any XCR editor should work.

Thank you! But 1 more thing some programs can result in steam thinking its a cheat program while in fact it doesnt do any harm. Where and how do you install it?

It can be installed anywhere and without Steam considering it a cheat program. It should just be a zipped exe that you can use immediately, no installation required.
