I would say its some kind of post-production-kickstarter over steam to get more ppl to realise this exists.

Who knows ... maybe they actually need some pocket-money to make the films ... and maybe the Youtube clips are promotional and will not be available forever. This is like those idiots who thinks piracy is ok because movie-makers are so rich anyway.

Also since the film is shorter then the time you could use the refund it obviously can´t be refunded. The same is true with short-story games on Steam.

Looking at the trailers and reading some of the comments I´m actually considering buying it just cause it seems hillarious much in the same way as Discworld.

Wrong. By default Steam pops up ad windows for games they are trying to sell you unless you disable in in the settings. Herp Derp.
