my dumb ahh accidentally saved over my savefile a few hours ago
is there any way for me to get back my old save? i'd be SO thankful. it was not backed up at all btw so uh yeah, prob should've been doing that haha. ugh, i hate myself...

Always save your main file to more than one slot!

Ah. Makes sense I guess. Probably should've done a backup save or two. I'll make sure to do one each time I beat a boss from here on out.

Perhaps this is why the "are you sure you want to override this save" popup is so common in games, its so annoying but it can be a life saver on rare occasions.

And perhaps ill take the advice given and make a backup save just under the main.

As people have already answered, there's not much that you can do about the save files, but if you want to try to speed through the game, you can always change the difficulty to 'Zero' and fight everything you've fought before, since it also affects enemy health.
