What's with the fuzzy worm in the Neon Valhalla room?
On of the chest contain one fuzzy worm. Why? It's ridiculously easy. Is it a reference to something?

Pretty sure it is just to scare you, for when you click the chest and the battle intro plays.

Lance mentions that the worm is calling for backup, and it seems to repeat the same action every turn; never attacking, just calling for backup. No backup seems to ever arrive, whether on Zero, Normal, or Epic difficulty.

This. I went through the whole fight and freaked out when a battle started while I was looting.

The game has a habit of trolling you sometimes. Like that fight in the Lance battle arena marked by a fuzzy worm.
