save editor?

just to be clear ive gotten every medal on a first playthrough with foe equip and weather remix on. im askinf if there is any way to edit a save so i can turn on equip randomier and the other custom game options without making a new save. since i would like to keep going on a new game plus. thanks for any help in advance

Yep, it's pretty easy. I don't remember the exact details, but you need to do some simple de-encryption on the save file and then change some variables in there. If you don't get the answers here, you should ask on the EBF Discord server.

However, turning on the equip randomizer in a completed save file won't have much effect.

there are some things im missing plus i just wanna do it for fun. how would i decrypt it? as i dodnt want to join a server then leave. i dont like doing that.

I don't remember what the encryption was called - base 64 or something simple like that. Just use an online converter tool for text files.

So, I discovered this post earlier and decided to do a bit of digging with backup files and other stuff in case it hasn't already been done. I was unable to find any values for currency, but I did find the values to change the price of perm-stat foods, alongside the values to enable and disable altweather, altfoes, alwaysscalefoes, altequipstats, and the rest of the custom options. I also found spell levels, spell ownage (Note, there were 2 falses in the spells owned despite me owning every spell, so I'm mildly curious by those), summons owned, and all sorts of text flags and such. The encryption is base64 with a UTF-8 Source character sheet with a 76 character split between lines. I'm gonna continue digging around to see if I can find anything else useful

As a matter of fact, I sadly didn't. Nothing that wasn't already mentioned in my previous post. I was going to start on an easier method to edit the aformentioned things, and maybe look into a way to change the amount of currency that a save has. For now though, that's about all there is to each save. Not the exact save-editing that anyone was expecting, but it's better than nothing
EDIT: Nevermind! I figured out how to change the amount of items while looking through it again! Infinite coffee and other things like steroids are now completely possible, I've gotta keep looking to see if I missed anything else
ANOTHER EDIT: I figured out how to edit currency after this, since it was hidden somewhere in the wall of null text. Holy hell it was in the most random spot somewhere in the middle of everything, but I found it and actually made it possible to edit. I'm not sure what most of the misc options are alongside it, but with a bit of testing and luck I might be able to figure it out. For now though, consider most if not everything to be completely changeable!

This kinda gives me an excuse to create a steam guide about it. Give me a bit and I'll see what I can fix up in a short amount of time
EDIT: Just got done creating it, just have to wait for it to go through Steam's automated check system
