I'm not really against the change, I just feel like it may cheapen the challenge for a lot of players.
I hadn't thought about the stat boosting items. That actually makes a lot of sense considering stat boosters are why I don't have the cash to fully upgrade all of my gear lol.
The boss rush still counts on the first playthrough right? If so I'll just challenge myself to beat it with lv 4 equips
You had to beat NG+ and NG++ and get to at least level 40 to get all achievements in EBF4, as well as scan all foes on top of the standard all bosses Epic, plus clearing the difficult deluxe edition content and so on.
5 doesn't have you scanning and capturing every single foe and does not require you to do NG+ from what I can see, there are no "grind to level" achievements and the damage achievements require less damage than 4 did. Capturing everything and getting all equips as a self imposed challenge in 5 on top of the achievements does seem harder though.
I'm not sure it is harder in 5. The Temple of Trials makes capturing and scanning pretty easy, because you get access to almost all of the previous foes/bosses again, and can capture them on the zero difficulty.
