You can dispel buffs if you havent figured that out already
even certain weapons can cause dispels and debuffs
Ive beaten it on Epic with him having over 19 million health
Playing on normal, Know how dispells work, Doesn't help when you barely get a chance to attack seeing how he does multi target attacks and his eyes and tentacles respawn over a short period of time.
i have yet to find any dispel weapons any advice where to get some?
and with diffrent fully upgraded outfits you can get diffrent bonus summons
and make matt the main dmg dealer with giant slayer
you can even get 2-3 extra turns from right gear
focus on the main target and limbs that give him health
Cannot promise i will follow your advice to the fullest but i appriciate it regardless.
Really though, why merely dispel buffs when you can invert them with summons?
Inverting buffs when the target has a debuff of lets say evade and then reverting it? Not good not good at all.
Time your turns for the Gigalith fight so that you get as many turns as possible to kill off the minions right when the battle starts (you may want to use the Viking Monolith summon).
The Devourer summons all minions at once three (maybe four) times: when the battle starts, two turns after firing his megadeath lazer (which happens twice, good thing it does so much damage it instantly gives you your limit breaks), and maybe right after it deletes the earth, but I'm not sure.
here's a way to kill him in 1 turn
Thanks but that's not the way i play the game, I prefer actually having fun.
Yeah, most of the fun with that sort of thing is coming up with the strategy in the first place.
After all, it's not godcat from EBF4.
Anyway, the point to this kind of boss is not "high enough level" but "find out how he works". His patterns, and when or how he buffs, debuffs, when he does big attacks, when he regenerates, etc. And then find a counter for everything. That's basically for all bosses. And this one has some pretty clear patterns you can notice after maybe 2-3 tries.
Anyway, for some tips:
- Invert is perfect. Just don't debuff him first. Instead, buff yourself.
- Never (for most bosses) try to kill all the adds. Always leave one or two and make them harmless instead, for efficiency. It's "kill the boss" not "kill everything".
- Use not high level gear or gimmicky gear, but gear specialized against the boss.
- Dont' forget to get your gear to level up too.
- It always helps to start out with full limit bars (not that helpful in long battles, like this, though).
- Auto-revive is your friend. Auto auto-revive is more your friend (revive from gear skills). You won't have to reapply your buffs and stuff.
This thread was mainly for me venting, There's no real need to give me more advice than that.
