Enchant and invisible don't count. And as I mentioned, Lance is better off being the one to deliver the crit, because he has a skill with high crit chance that also hits six times. And it's keyed off his worse offensive stat to boot.
I got the 3X Critical medal purely by accident and without any status effects.
I caught the Prototype in the Arena, then later on I summoned it and it scored a 3X Critical on a trivial foe!
So there's an easy way if anyone wants to avoid mucking about with complex status combinations and still get the achievement.
Otherwise, your best chance is having Lance with Brave and Good Luck use Unload against an enemy with Stagger and Bad Luck, which gives you a 30% chance of scoring a 3x crit with each hit (230% crit chance).
I sometimes miss things like that since I play casually and am often multi-tasking, like playing while some art project is rendering and that sort of thing
Necro but wanted to thank you for this tip, worked the best of all.
