Help with Lance's friendship value
So there is this man with a guitar in the slime warp zones that "reads" your fortune and tells you about your friendship value. I progressed through the whole game right before the final boss without ever using lance and because of that lance's friendship value for the other party members is zero. So I was wondering how do I increase this value? Do I just keep killing things and it will eventually go up?

(also I noticed he said nothing about nolegs, is that a bug or not?)

yeah, their friendship value goes up each turn they are used on combat, if you want to cheese it, you can find a panda bear (which won't attack unless you hit it first) make sure you have no equipment on that causes effects between turns, and just spam the skip turn option on every character, you can basically take a full turn every second that way and just boost all their friendshipds in minutes.

Don't think that answer is quite right. Otherwise, it takes like five times as long as Matt and Lance to become BFFs as it does for others. Seems like there's some kind of weird unexplained trigger instead.

the only thing it does is check who is in the front row, for each pair of human it adds +1 point to the relationship between both . (+3 if NoLegs is in the front row) .

Cotton, can you send me your backup .meow file on the discord server (link on Matt's blog) ? you can use the #ebf5 channel or the spoiler one. I will find it, I guess.

Makes sense. That's a nice way to make sure all the characters are used, and it's a hilarious and charming touch that everyone loves NoLegs even in terms of game mechanics.

Though I bet Matt and Lance would discover some shared interests if in the back row together. Guarding the rear. Including Natalie's rear. There are only two back slots, meaning Natz would be standing right in front of them both the whole time. Poor Natz.

It's more likely Matt would get grumpy at Lance's ogling like he did in IV. As much as he is portrayed as an oblivious doofus, when it comes to girls, he's a lot more tactful.
