does anyone here also thinks ebf has better gameplay than other turnbased rpg?

i like the gameplay much more than the toprated rpgs such as persona 4 and final fantasy vi. this game has short battle animations, very helpful tips, no random encounters, no grinding. the random dialogues and multiple combat music also make the battles less tedious.

persona 4 is a better overall package but ebf i guess has better in-fight mechanics. aside from that id agree ebf just has far better design than other rpgs turn based or not (especially ff15). it just has so many positive features that make the overall experience feel more refined and substantial. a big factor here is just how valuable optional treasure and side quests are, almost all the equipment in this game feels useful for something due to the abundance of bonus effects and the importance of resistances. at worst, you get joke equips that make fun of some kind of trope in popular culture, and those are already better than most side quest rewards in other games.

EBF is completely focused on rewarding good gameplay. No annoying random encounters, lots of depth in combat instead of button mashing, very high customization of your party that gives lots of strategic elements.

The music what you get in all of the EBF games are literally epic so the name serves purpous really well. The great care of the ever rich status effects and the strategy-wise damage output are the most important in the game imho. Of course the higher the difficulty the more important your mind and tactical sense will become. Those will be put under great use. If you are a genius and capable to plan your battles by setting up the best counter elements against the given foes, the game will reward you generously.
