Questions about Mega Boss Rush Experiences [Epic Difficulty]
Hello. I will soon attempt to do Mega Boss Rush(MBR) for Epic and am looking for any tips so I can prepare physically and mentally. I already finished/got all other medals except for those related to finishing the game, Endless Battle and MBR.
Current Setup:
- All Characters Lv.39.
- Got & maxed out all gear.
- Roided up just below 256k in shop.
- SP = 200
- Captured every foe possible to catch.

Questions:
- How much time would MBR possibly take?
- Any differences to note?
- Did you find the bosses much easier/harder to handle than when you fought them back in their respective dungeons?
- Any mechanics I should abuse? eg. Equip Combos like Target Badge+Ninja Gear(Never used this strat anywhere except for Snowflake.), Summons?
- Were equip changes done multiple times?
- Am I over/underprepared?
- Do I have to pray to RNGesus to win this battle?

Thanks for responding(if you did). :D:

REMEMBER TO GET COFFEE
as an advice i try with 150 coffee, and when i reach cristal hydra, i was with less than 10

if u ask me, u should be prepared by now, it will onlyy depend on your judgment of right equipment at the right moment, but please get enough consumable items, being coffee and garlic a must over 100-200 of amount

and it should take a couple hours, less if u use a enchant or invisble combo for the right monster, like neo valhalla or vulcan

Okay. thats pretty helpful man. never occurred to me that the entire thing would cost that much coffee and/or garlic. I always stock coffee up to 150 units. might as well go a full 200 and 100 for other consumables. Thx for the time estimate too. I initially made an estimate of 3-4hrs by adding all the time i spent fighting each boss but that was back when my lvl, stats, skills and gear were not this high yet. I wouldnt want to leave/sleep in the middle of MBR.

for the bosses, if u ask me, the worst to play against is the cristal hydra, because of the many dead-stats that inflics are a lot, and the equipment to counter it is not enough for all the party, so u will need to keep them with "good luck" stat activate, as well as "bravery" to counter it, and please beware for the timing to kill them at the same time

1. You don't need nearly so much coffee or any other consumables if you know what you're doing
2. You should set your team up for Valhalla before starting. The sisters are jokes
3. For telperion, just grab Beholding eye and virus him
4. You'll need to fight Vulcan seriously and switch your gear accordingly
5. For Crystal Hydra, just give your team as much ice, wind and water resistance and have someone resist all 3 before killing Vulcan. Afterwards, you can just Gaia blossom them all, use reflex and very slowly and painstakingly kill them. You can also set up a damage combo with Supernova or Nuke, when they're low

Thanks. Beholding Eye for Telperion really helped out a lot (took around 8 turns to kill it via Virus+Bio dmg). Finally managed to end my suffering for 2 hours cause i spent 45-60mins dealing with N.Valhalla cause i was trying to keep buffs up and at the same time deal damage to the thing. Vulcan fight was ok. for C.Hydra, I went for Natz BlackHole finisher after messing it up 3 times in the same run. Very Helpful tips indeed bro! :D:

Thanks man. Actually just finished MBR and C.Hydra was pretty difficult. I went for Lance Nuke to break the necks & Natz Black Hole finisher but 2 of them didnt get that much damaged (one died with 60%HP and 2 survived with 30% thefirst time I used it on them) so I had to reset three times in the same run just to end my 2 hour fight. I pretty much had the three respawn again cause the other 2 died to counterattacks due to my set-up.

To me, the MBR was very easy. Passed on first try on Epic, barely needed coffee. It may take some time though, up to two hours. No need to abuse things like Target + Invis/Enchanted or whatever. There is only one thing you need to do in order to finish it very easily:

CHOOSE YOUR EQUIPS BEFORE YOU START

It's been a while so I don't remember what equips I used...

1. Sol and Skadi
These cyclops sisters are a joke. You don't even need the right equips, but use them to defeat them easier and quicker.

2. Neon Valhalla
This one you have to try hard for. Equip for bomb resistance, physical defense helps too. But I chose my weapons according to what element the Limit Breaks were. I gave Lance Nitro Bomber, for Oblivion. Gave Anna Earth's Whisper for Mighty Oak (combined with brave status and Lance's Air Strike or M.O.A.B, which gives stagger, you can cause some hefty damage). Gave Matt Fusion Sword (his Limit Breaks are non-elemental, might as well go for the weapons with highest stats). Gave Natalie and NoLegs whatever, since their Limit Breaks don't have matching elements. But you could give Natalie the Tsunami skill and Nimbus Rod, although you would be using 7th Heaven most of the time.

3. Telperion
Same story as Neon Valhalla.

4. Vulcan
Same again

5. Crystal Hydra
If you have good wind, ice and water resistance, Crystal Hydra is a piece of cake. I don't know why people say Crystal Hydra is hard, I never struggled with this one

Keep an eye out for which status effects each boss is weak against, because they help a ton! It would even help to capture them (except Neon Valhalla, since you can't capture it). To me, the challenge wasn't beating them. It was capturing them. I captured all except Vulcan because of that stupid Haste + Buff skill he keeps spamming.

Plus, you are level 39 and Matt pushed an update that reduces level scaling after level 36 or so, to make grinding seem worth it

Edit: Neon Valhalla is immune to Stagger

Matt's Cleaver is NOT non-elemental. It's weapon elemental
