more like Wizard / Black Mage
At this point, every character fits its class so well, there's not really any other niches left to be filled. Matt is damage, Nat is support, Anna is status effects, Lance is very high damage with long cooldowns, and Nolegs is very powerful support with long cooldowns.
All that's left is powerful Status conditions with long cooldowns, or to start duel classing (which kind of goes against having a team that needs to cover each others weaknesses).
Matt - Warrior
Natalie - Black Mage (formerly White Mage, but her healing skills were moved to the bonus skill area)
Lance - Engineer
Anna - Druid
NoLegs - Rogue / Mascot
From the standard archetypes, we are missing...
The "Japanese" class, such as Ninja or Ronin.
Bard - A dedicated support. Buffs, debuffs, and heals
Dragoon - Powerful, multi-turn attacks
Monk - Martial arts, strong non-elemental skills. Focuses on single target.
Mimic - Copies skills from other characters/enemies.
Seriously though I'd be fine if they continued to keep it at the party of 5 we have now,
Chibi knight is from the indie game of the same name, it would be really, REALLY weird to make it a full character rather than a reference like it is now. Matt put in a lot of easter eggs and references from the Armor Games crowd, we have Sushi cat as a spell, the elephant as a hat, Super Chibi knight as an encounter, etc.
