Camel Mammoth north of Ice Cave Entrance

This thing's been bugging me for ages, now. I walked past it right near the start of the game, before even facing the first boss, wondering how I was supposed to reach it and basically just going "Eh, I'm sure it'll become clear later." Well, now I'm on my way to the Southern Continent, and I STILL haven't figured it out. It seems to be completely enclosed, with the only way to access it being a ladder. I'd GUESS that this connects to the ladder near the start of the Ice Cave, but there doesn't seem to be any way to access THAT, either... unless you eventually get some boots that stops you from slipping on ice, or something? >_>

Everything you said is completely correct. It is incredibly annoying seeing it there. You can only get to it through that ladder in the ice cave, and you do eventually get an item that stops you from slipping on ice. Lucky for you the item you need is in the Frozen Valley area of the Southern Continent.

How, exactly, is four people and one legless cat wearing 6 different pairs of boots simultaneously? >_> Somehow, the math just does not add up...
