Does this game include the full EBF story?

I see they fight the fascist dude in this, which happened really early in the storyline, but they fight him using the green-haired girl, who came later on, right? So is this the full proper story, or some kind of alternate timeline?

This is more or less a complete reboot of the EBF story. The characters are meeting each other for the first time and, while references to earlier games are all over the place, the overall story has nothing to do with EBF1-4.

Okay... So is this the new canon, then? And if so, does the story given in this game actually make sense, or is it just randomly strewn together?

I would say the story up until now has been just about nonexistent, so there's not much difference. It's all about the jokes and character interactions. It's not about love and loyalty, it's about lulz and loot.

It's kind of hinted at the beginning when Matt play a game, mentioning if he lose against the final boss he has to start over. I haven't finished the game yet (so many secrets making me sidetrack!) but I believe Matt lost instead of won and 'start over at the beginning' at which point we started played him.
I mean, even Nathalie commented on it in the frozen cave after beating the troll (Enjou?). She said: "Don't you get the feeling we have done that before ?" or something to that extend.

It's pretty fun though. Especially with the alternative condition to win against characters.

In the museum Matt makes a comment about how they have done things in their past lives such as defeating some feirce beasts.

So mabye they really did reset after losing all of their lives?

Ah... So the other games are still canon, this is just an official extra life deal. That's actually pretty cool. 0.0

Don't know if it is an extra life or not but there are certainly hints that this might be.

in term of story, i'd say the other games are cannon. you get hints of that many times during the game. and during the final battle and the scene after, it is heavily implied that what happened in the previous games did happen but the team did not have any power / memories left of that because of the final boss. i won't go into details just to not spoil anything ^^

Well, NoLegs kinda spoils the final boss of 4 all by himself.
