Try disabling Steam Cloud for this game, and then deleting the options.meow file in the installation folder. I reckon something in the options is messing it up, but reinstalling won't reset the options since they're backed up on the cloud!
I did disable steam cloud which didn't help. I did find out what the problem is. It was changing the resolution of it that messed it up which is very strange. I can't change resolution in game mode without getting a black screen. Going full screen during the Language selection also causes the same issue.
My workaround was booting the game up in desktop mode on the deck. The moment I booted it up on the deck's Desktop mode everything worked fine. So I readjusted the settings to the default settings.
I do not know if Phyrnna has a new site or just left (her patreon seems to be closed too) but the link could probably be updated to point to her bandcamp (https://music.phyrnna.com/)
(i am really bad with wording sorry)
Continuously (and rapidly?) changing the party arrangement causes the game to start lagging.

Further testing (not shown in video) shows that one doesn't even have to execute the swap. Simply buttonmashing the swap-button will also induce the lag.
No lasting issues though, as the lag is immediately cleared upon quitting to menu and reloading, without a need to reboot the game itself.
Additional testing shows that quitting to menu before the game confirms having saved, does NOT cause a corrupted save in this case.

Edit 2: Additional info
Went into event viewer and every time the same bug occurs. This is consistent even after reinstalling the game, and even reinstalling steam itself. Appears to be an issue with the NPSFW.dll file in the Adobe AIR version. Full event viewer description is below.

Huh, that's a new one. So I guess the game worked for you before? Did you get a new computer? Operating system? Because I haven't updated it in years and I don't think anyone else has mentioned this issue so far.
I can't recommend anything besides the usual stuff - try running it in a different compatibility mode, make sure no other apps are interfering, etc.
Fair enough, have a feeling it's probably something on my end then as I've been having some issues with my gpu recently, and I can't remember if the last time I played was before or after that started happening, so if no one else has ever had this issue it's probably not the game itself.
Thanks for the help!
Certain music tracks stopped playing for me (the grand gallery one, for example).
If anyone in the future has this problem here's the solution:
Have your music volume in the settings set to more then 1%
Idk why, but only some of the tracks in the game stop playing at 1% volume.
