I may nerf them a bit later.
It's the fact that Papalotl buffs himself up after what feels like every attack that tripped me up, even with buffed defenses I'm lucky to survive more than one or two rounds without at least one character dying on me. Can't say anything about the later bosses though, the only time I faced the third one was when I would've been about to wipe anyway.
Arcade bosses (especially PUMPKUS) are pretty tricky too, though there I suspect the issue there is that I haven't figured out the specific trick to beating them yet. I'm sure that for PUMPKUS you're supposed to take them out one at a time so they don't curbstomp you immediately, but I can't seem to push my DPS high enough to kill one of them faster than they kill me.
Is the trick to Pumpkus Killing all of them instantly with a limit break ?
That's what I did, still need to catch one though
Problem is that buffs alone don't work when Papalotl just buffs himself up high enough to hit through them like they weren't even there. And he does it every turn so the Red Flybot just ends up being a SP sink.
The PHOENIX you can probably just chuck Snowflake at them. I've not tested it, but dispel followed by all of the pain is probably the intended strategy and Snowflake is exactly that in one summon.
