Advice for the Library bosses
I managed to defeat the GunKat without too much difficulty, but on the off-chance I survive Papalotl I get my weakened party immediately wiped by the boss after him. What's the best strategy for dealing with them?

Forgot to mention that I'm doing this on Epic difficulty, in case that's relevant.

They're very hard, even for me.
I may nerf them a bit later.

Hi Matt!

It's the fact that Papalotl buffs himself up after what feels like every attack that tripped me up, even with buffed defenses I'm lucky to survive more than one or two rounds without at least one character dying on me. Can't say anything about the later bosses though, the only time I faced the third one was when I would've been about to wipe anyway.

Arcade bosses (especially PUMPKUS) are pretty tricky too, though there I suspect the issue there is that I haven't figured out the specific trick to beating them yet. I'm sure that for PUMPKUS you're supposed to take them out one at a time so they don't curbstomp you immediately, but I can't seem to push my DPS high enough to kill one of them faster than they kill me.

I defeated them without any problem on epic difficulty, my team was on level 36. I don't remember what strategy i used, it's very likely Natalie in casual suit + duck + elder's wisdom, which boosted 7th heaven a lot and granted a big survivebility to the team, so had no problem with spending turns on dying and reviving.

Oh, Pumpkus is pretty easy once you figure out the trick.

I managed to beat the whole set on Hard difficulty. I would recommend giving the tr*force flair to Natalie and have her keeps buffs up on the party. Also don't be afraid to change equipment for every fight. Changing equipment is the only reason I beat the mega boss rush on epic.

Is the trick to Pumpkus Killing all of them instantly with a limit break ?
That's what I did, still need to catch one though

Seriously, defensive buffs are pretty much mandatory on Epic for anything that involves an achievement. The Red Flybot summon is also great against self-buffing enemies because it's specifically not a dispel so even things intended to be immune to that sort of thing aren't safe.

@HeraldOfOpera
Problem is that buffs alone don't work when Papalotl just buffs himself up high enough to hit through them like they weren't even there. And he does it every turn so the Red Flybot just ends up being a SP sink.

I managed to beat them 1st try, can't remember my setup, but they're definitely really tough, mostly thanks to the fact they can counter you, the last one ironically was the easiest of them all due to lacking the counter mechanic.

Pumpkus is really easy when you figure out how to beat it Attack 1 at a time with a single target hard hitting attack, then with any of the other 2 remaining players, heal it with either poison or water, it'll make them happy and fragile again.

Can confirm, just tried it and it worked. Now I need to figure out how to deal with GLOB, CORALIA, and PHOENIX.

The PHOENIX you can probably just chuck Snowflake at them. I've not tested it, but dispel followed by all of the pain is probably the intended strategy and Snowflake is exactly that in one summon.

My personal strategy was to simply dispel with someone (No legs or whoever learn dispel) and then follow up with death metal limit break (In my case, lance with wind boosting gear) and it pretty much one shots the birds

Syphoning or Berserking PHOENIX prevents it from gaining Auto Revive every turn, and also makes them unable to revive eachother.

I found what worked best was inflicting tired on the bosses and keeping your own accuracy up. Aside from GunKat, none of the bosses ever boost their accuracy. I didn't have too much trouble on them, compared to other epic bosses, at least. Just remember to resist their most dangerous stuff (and get some tanky gear for Papalotl).
