I kinda want to get this but..
I read as much as i could but i have no clue what harvest moon is or anything similar honestly.

Im not asking to convince me or anything of the sort but what do you highlight most about this game from what you have seen so far?

How simulated is it? Is the story compelling? is there anything else I might not know about this kind of game that from the outside the box i might miss?

Thnx for your time.

It's kinda a "Living in a cozy rural town" sim.

You get your house, your pet, meet the townspeople, you can work to gain money, maybe farming, maybe raising animals, maybe doing part time jobs, maybe hunting for gems in the mines, maybe fishing.

You can make friends and even find love.

Usually in the Harvest Moon games you have a "big" goal, saving the town, paying a debt, rebuilding the village.
This game seems to have something like that, regarding a legend wich saved the town in the past.

Sorry, I'm not good with this description things. :ralphhurt:

Anyways, I'm loving the game. It's cozy and nice.

I hate to keep repeating the same line, but you might want to download the demo on the website. It's hard to explain a nesting game without making it sound dull. I tried coming up with an explanation better than rincewind's, but they hit it spot on.

Thnx!

Yeah, I think WP made a BUNCH of sales based on demo strength.

FYI, there have been some improvements in the final build. Hope you like it!

Fair warning, this game doesn't explain anything very well. It relies heavily on you having played Harvest Moon
Jasticus Jan 26, 2016 @ 3:50pm
Well, looking back Harvest Moon (I've been playing it since SNES) didn't really 'explain' much either. It was part of the discovery/exploration bit of the game.

Yeah, but gaming has changed, people expect a lot more hand holding. And hell Harvest Moon had a manual come with it to explain all that

I did. That's how I know half the power berry locations in HM were spoiled in it.

Just some questions, I see you "find love" in this game, but do you marry? Have children, upgrade your house/constructions like HM etc? I am downloading the demo right now but I figure it doesn't get that far. And one more thing, how the friendship/love system works?
Sorry for the load of questions, I just bumped into this game and now I am really looking foward to get it when I have the money. I was searching for something like Harvest Moon some weeks ago here on steam, glad this came up. Gotta love the devs.
Jasticus Jan 26, 2016 @ 7:41pm
Yes to marry, yes to house expansion. Friendship/love is giving gifts for friendship and taking on Festival Dates for love.

There are no children in the game yet. The dev mentioned on the game forums wanting to do it proper justice, and that likely means DLC or free expansion, depending on what goes into it.
Lechet Jan 26, 2016 @ 8:02pm
Oh man, if there's a DLC or expansion for kids, I'd just die. That'd be great.

house expansion? Where and how?
