Is there a trainer for this game or a set of "cheat codes"?
I am again stuck and cant seem to find enough resources to make it through the next task without dieing over and over. Love the game but I'm frustrated.

Where are you stuck exactly?
The best suggestion I can give is to manage your resources. Craft a stack of consumables like Power Cells, Hull Repairs and Coating so that you don't have to leave valuable seeds or creonoble on the way.
Another suggestion is to save from time to time like in good old Halflife so you can retry tricky parts.

Yeah I've been saving often and it has saved me a couple of times. it took about 20 tries over 2 days to get off the tower with ani (I almost gave up there) and now the tumblers are so numerous I cant collect materials. Ion is hiding from the tumblers under one of the towers. I dont have enough power or materials to use the shield (and BTW the power consumption of that makes it just about useless.) and run to an area with more materials.

Youve been such a great help and very patient with us. I'm not a seasoned gamer but I do enjoy this type of game. I'll be honest, I almost always use cheats for games and I find them much more enjoyable that way. This is the farthest I played a real mainstream game without cheats. I'd probably never be able to finish a video game without them.

I am really enjoying this game but its winter time and I really dont want to venture into the snowy place on this planet. Just looking at it makes me shiver!

AH COMON why cheat, im still stuck on day 2, you do not gain anything by cheating, why buy the game in the first place..

Yeah I cant find it either, and there is no info on it. It's impossible to tell what is a collectable and what isnt without getting close to it.

Creonoble is fairly easy to find. Just look for the green cloud near the ground....

Personal choice. I still play Half Life games and now use a cheat, so I can enjoy the story and and not get too bored with the fighting.

The biggest problem with Phoning Home is you you fail to gather enough resources by the end of the game you literally cannot proceed, and there are not enough resources in the location - so you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
