Yes I know what E.T. is but this reminds me more of Wall-E because of their names are so close and they almost sound like the characters from Wall-E too.

I doubt it. Short Circuit pre-dates Wall-E and Tristar didn't sue Disney. These characters may share similarities but they are all legally distinct. I love a good homage!
