No Keyboard Input and Windows 10

Hi there,

We are getting reports of people running Windows 10 and Xbox One controllers are losing Keyboard Input.

From what we understand this is due to a recent Windows 10 update KB3140743. And is a problem for many other games too, having seen reports in other forums.

If you have this problem you may wish to try removing this update.

Im having the game freeze up due to this aswell.. I just got this controller. Im afraid to do anything like try to remove system patches. This sucks. MS needs to get their act together. I hope there will be a patch fix soon from them. :( I cant play Automobilista till then. :(

Well; I am finding that my XBox One controller is running as though ``Co-co the clown` coded the instruction set`.

Haswell i7, GTX780 rig. XBox One controls are a farce. Great game otherswise.

Same here. I use the xb1 controller for pluging the chat headphones while i play with a wheel. now the only thing i can do is get stucked in the screen you have to enter your name, and the keyboard cant get any input

I followed the above advice. No dice. Fortunately, this problem is still fixable.

For me, the latest version of the Xbox One Controller for Windows software and an 'XInput Compatible HID Device' under Human Interface Devices in Device Manager was somehow causing the keyboard to be locked out when playing certain games. Reinstalling an older version of the Xbox One Controller software and removing/uninstalling the XInput device fixed it for me.

All the games that were affected by this bug are playable again with the controller.
