rFactor MODs support?
So I tried to use some rFactor mods for this game, because the game is clearly based on rF1. But nothing works. I also tried Stock Cars and Formula Trucks mods (games by Reiza - based on rF1 as well). They don't work either. So, will we see any mod support?

There are already mods for AMS out there.
And some rF1 tracks actually work... kind of.

Find the .scn file, lets say you try to make Spa work then you open the spa.scn file with notepad++ or other program that work. And then find 2 lines about clouds. Like spa files are ''MASFile=CloudsMed.MAS
MASFile=SkyEuroAltHazy.MAS''

And those files are not in AMS, so when you try to load that stage the nothing happends. So replace those lines with some files that are in the game. Like
''MASFile=CloudsDefault.MAS
MASFile=SkyNorth.MAS''

And spa is just an example, you can download spa AMS version on racedepartmant.

Thanks a lot. I actually have all three of them downloaded already, but I wanted to try converting some rally stages.

Though I remember having collision issues with those that worked. Targa Florio is one good example. It's very difficult to get the car (Camaro SS) out of the pits. After backing out a bit it collides with something invisible.

But once edited the .scn. You have to play at noon, when the Sun is high because the Sun appears stuck in a black square. Also they can be played at night, as there is no Sun. But these don't have new AMS features an have to be updated to have it.

Go to Xtremefactor.es and you cand fin a lot of mods for SCE updated with automatic degrees. These mods should work on AMS. But dosen't have AMS features.

And for tracks, there you can find more tracks then RD with "GSCE Standars". Amazing tracks like Mid Ohio, Hockenheim, Watkins Glen, Zandvoort, Zolder , Imola, Laguna Seca and many more.

For these you have to edit 2 lines on .scn file a then works.

Also you cand find a lot of tracks without "GSCE Standars" (over 300), and shoud work too. Make a copy from original "terrain.tdf", becouse some of these can overwrite the file. Is placed on GameData/Locations.

Thanks for clarifying that. I haven't even tried driving at night yet anyway :)
Already tried some GSCE tracks... Will probably need to check if my terrain.tdf is still intact.

Now Automobilista says something about a GMT file being a wrong version, speaking of some "SKYBOXI.GMT". And I don't have a single .gmt file at all, neither do I have a file containing "skybox" in its name.

Happened to me as well. Best thing is to take already converted mod (I used monza) and compare it to your own mod. You can also use some files from the mod (If you don't tell them :D)

Not sure if that's going to help since not all of them throw the GMT error. And the converted track might be a one that simply points out to the default skies and clouds...
But since I need Nordschleife and rally stages, something needs to be done anyway :)
