@Shark Dragon that's the View menu in the steam client, then choose Servers.
No, we will add a Steam Tool, it'll come soon.
If you host a multiplayer game using either the dedicated server or the ingame multiplayer option, you need to make sure that that computer is accessible from the internet for other players.
To make your server accessible, you probably need open up some ports in your firewall and potentially forward them from your router to the computer that is running the game.
The ports that the game uses can be configured in the Multiplayer.INI file that can be located in the game folder in UserData/PlayerName (where PlayerName is the name of the player profile you’ve created). The following four settings configure the ports:
Query Port Start="34597"
Port Start="34697"
Authenticator Port="8766"
Master Server Updater Port="27016"
You can obviously change these as long as you make sure these ports are actually free. For the example above the following ports need to be opened and forwarded in your firewall and router:
34597 UDP
34697 UDP
8766 UDP
27016 UDP
If you’ve successfully set up your server, it should be visible in the “Server” window of your Steam Client, as explained in the previous section. You can access that by going to the “View” menu and then selecting the “Server” option. Make sure to use the “CHANGE FILTER” option to filter on games called “Automobilista”.
So I DEACTIVATED these 2 last ones and all came back working well I can connect to te Steam servers
Sounds like somehow those port forwards are not working, or something else in your router or firewall is blocking or misdirecting packets. Opening those ports should be enough. As a first step, do you see your server show up in the Steam Matchmaker (the "Servers" window Alex talked about in the first post). If not, then that is also an indication that something is still wrong in your router.
The two settings you quote don't make any difference. You can ignore them.
The ports you need to open are just for hosting, there is no need to open or forward ports to join a server. So you can remove all those ports again from your setup if joining is all you want to do.
BUT : opening all these ports not helping me to create multiplayer session.... As the dedicated server here is successfully running a multiplayer session.... I do not see it appearing on the Steamserver list....
I always had problems with GSC also... was successfull game created on the deddicated server... BUT could not open GSC at same time... (if dedicated server opened GSC not opening... OR if GSC opened so dedicated server will not launch in windows....
Exactly the same problem, this started to be annoying a bit.
Tried it thousand ways, open everywhere all possible ports (even firewall), tried port forwarding and virtual server in the router. Still join timed out.
For me it's inexplicable how for example Racedpartment or others can run servers, totally inexplicable ...
Anyway to run a server and play the game simultaneously?
Currently, when I run the server (even when I find the executable in explorer) it will count as runing AMS through steam, making it impossible to run AMS at the same time.
