in inventory - what colour are military grade rounds?
I'm playing Ranger normal mode, and I'm not sure when I've loaded military ammo. When I change ammo by holidng R, the inventory either shows ammo with a silver glow around it or not.

With the glow, does this mean the gun is loaded with military rounds or normal?

Thanks!

I think it's kinda a bad idea to determine the brand by looking at the rounds in-game since players have different settings to their graphics.

Military rounds are marked by that tiny "gold bar" upon the round in the icon. I've always used that as reference. But if you're playing on Hardcore, you'll have to take your chances, especially during a firefight.

The Military rounds are clean, the normal rounds are dirty. The sound the military rounds make are louder and sound more cleaner then dirty rounds.

This, if you have the hud. They are the "glowing" bullets.. And in game their color is a little more saturated/brighter than the normal bullets, probably cause they are not covered in dirt. A small but noticable difference...

thanks guys. have to admit, playing on Ranger normal and there's not exactly a scarcity of ammo anyway so it hasn't really made any difference. nothing I've wanted to buy anyway. Must admit - Metro 2033 was much better in this regard. good weapons were harder to get hold of and every shot really did count. last light is pretty easy in comparison.
