Stuck with no air filters!

I'm just before the shrimp boss and the problem is that I don't have any more air filters, so I can't defeat the boss before I choke to death. Furthermore I can't backtrack because I've got a checkpoint at the other side of the water.

Nvm I restarted the chapter, and I have a lot more air for the boss.

Happened to me in Metro 2033 it was near the beginning of the game so I just restarted it

that happened to me all you ahve to do is jump in the water lol it will refill your air its anoying and easy to forget to keep doing it though

Try to resist changing out your filters when you hear the beep, can save a lot of time.

at the same point I was running out of filters (damn exploring every inch of the swamp before and the map at hand where you hit the shrimps boss), but I was really lucky, because when the boss dropped dead and the guys rolled over the tree to get over the water to the church I had 20 seconds air left LOL. Damn lucky in this case (ranger hardcore playthrough... before on normal hardcore I had much more filter time left at this point).

If you keep dying over and over because of no filters the game will give you infinite air.

Really? I don't have the ranger pack but in normal mode I never face the shrimp boss with less than 40m of air filter.

yeah dunno, never had filter problems in hardcore (normal) but this time in ranger mode it seems there are less filters, or the filter degrade much faster when on the surface, because when I remember right, after applying a new one I only had one minute of air with the filters...... ! This might be the problem, but luckily in this case I made it, lets see how this turns out in upcoming surface missions....

Did run out of filters as well, had less than minute when facing shrimp boss and I'm pretty sure I picked all I found, but then again someone reported bug where all filters disappear when exchanging filter, but dunno, gonna try to use bug I guess...

I'm at the point in Last Light where you have to get through the swamp and I don't have enough air on normal. I fail to see how it is impossible to run out of air when I didn't explore too much above ground and I've had to restart the chapter because It checkpointed me inside the plane where I had no filters.

OH BOY, just barely made it to the next level, where upon gaining my control back i ran completely out of air and couldn't put the mask back on in order to jump in the water and exploit. So much fun.

Oh cool, got an air filter only to be instantly disembowled by a giant shrimp. I'm starting to wonder if fromsoft perhaps made this game.
