Melee with shotgun/bayonet?

Well maby i'm doing something wrong. But in Metro 2033 you could hit with your gun butt enemy's. Also i didn't find the bayonet attachment for the automatic shotgun in Metro LL. I mean the automatic shotgun with bayonet was my fav. gun in Metro 2033. Hope some1 can explain more.
Or is this left out in Metro LL. I hope not because in Metro 2033 you could melee with your wapon butt or bayonet. A great option. Hope this is not throw in the bin in LL.

The knife is so hilariously overpowered that you don't need a bayonet anyway.
