Ranger Mode controls and actions?

I'm having a hard time playing this on Ranger Mode, I'm not playing Ranger Hardcore but still I don't get any prompts or tutorials, If I didn't play earlier today on Normal I wouldn't have found out that you can clean your mask, or that you get to choose to kill or knock out enemies.

I don't want to stop playing Ranger mode but I'm afraid I'm going to miss out on some mechanics, can someone please write down the things you can do and they keys to perform them (I'm playing on PC)?

Just check your controls in options. It's all pretty intuitive; E does a lot of things w/ the environement, C hurls secondary weapons (grenades or knives) etc. You will see all you need in the otptions menu, and don't forget to use TAB for your secondary weapon selecvtion. That's it.

holding tab, moving the mouse left is grenades, up is throwing knives, right is fire grenades, down is claymores. m is your lighter, and holding m brings up your objective board with a compass that points in the direction you need to advance to complete the objective.

Ya, as same as you I choose the Ranger mode for my first playthrough.
As far as I played,here are what I discovered:
T to switch filter
Space bar to start railcar
V to melee attack
C to use secondary weapon(Switch by holding TAB + mouse)
Hold F + mouse1 to charge your headlight
M to use the lighter
Hold M to see your objective

Press G Also wipes Dirt off your Gas Mask.
Hold G t put on the Gasmask

How do I tell when I'm using military rounds vs regular bullets? With some guns like the AK it's very hard to tell, and I don't want to waste my "money"

You can burn cobwebs with your lighter.

@Daltrain: You can tell if the enemy catches fire (Don't ask how). Somehow military grade ammo makes Monsters burn.

Great info guys, also if you want to knock someone out hold E (After you hear the knife sound when you get close enough to the enemy) or hold your melee key (V by default) if you want to kill them instead.

@Daltrain: You can switch rounds by holding R (Reload key), a way to tell is to bring up your inventory, on the top right are your MGR count, when you are using them it has a white highlight. If you're playing on Ranger Hardcore and don't have any HUD at all then you can check the color of the rounds, bright = MGR, dull = standar ammo.
