Releasing Prisoners

In the Mission where Artyom escapes with Pavel, does any one know how to get to the gaurd's room and use the control panel? It's somewhere in the top floor, and im just sitting here staring at some sort of "lift" and i cant find a way around it.

Hi "SkyCleaver",

Could you please explain how you were able to release the prisoners, I have already passed that level and I was not able to release them at all. I went into the airlock with Pavel and then escaped after killing the few guards before the second airlock door.

It is after the elevator, after you get the silenced pistol. The control room is obvious and has guards in it. There is a switch panel and windows overlooking the prison. One of the switches will release them.

The switch seem to only work AFTER you know out/kill all the guards.

was also wondering how to release them until I got into the control room, knocked out all guards and then I was able to hit the switch *;D
