Starting a "new" game.
I am currently playing a game and my son is wanting to play as well. If I start a new game does it overwrite my current game? I would rather ask then find out the hard way... :)

The saves are stored in the documents folder. So I think if your son uses a different log in to your computer, it should work.

But is seems like only ONE set of saves for ONE user.

You could move your save file from where it is then start a new game, then when you want to play again, move your son's save somewhere and put yours back in.

Yes, it could benefit from a profile option like other games have. Cuts out that manual folder moving stuff.

1986. On my NES. Dragon Quest, the first one.

Three save slots.

If you want to let him play from the beginning, simply select the first mission from chapter select, DON'T start a new game via the menu. That will overwrite your save. If you use chapter select however, you will be able to go back and select your current chapter again at any point.

Your saved files are located in /My Documents/4A Games/Metro LL/<Random numbers and letter>/

Just move to rename the folder (Make sure you remember the old name!) Likewise for your Son's save files. To restore the saves, just move that folder back with it's original name.

Move files, remember names, remember to put them back.
Or just create a second Windows log in for your son.

Yeah, they should have put in profiles or multiple save slots.

I found a way. I just change the last number in the saved files for the game to 1 from 0.

In fact if you will start a new game simply by make it in game menu it will erase all your progress and write new same as it was with METRO2033.Just to warn all of you.
