Gameplay issue -- Pavel Disappears during "Torchlight"

After Pavel helps Artyom swing on a cable across the gap, he does not reappear in the next section (where the dead guy with the torch is.) I think I can hear his footsteps somewhere behind a wall . . . I've tried reloading the autosave, reloading the whole chapter and reloading/changing to a different difficulty in order to get him back, but it's a no go.

I restarted the game later and pavel had suddenly re-apeared, that or I didnt stall this time. Hope this helps.

I had this issue...It's only when killing the spider on the car that he actually followed me over.

i havent had that, but i have had him get stuck outside of the theatre before you move back into the metro from the surface, i spent 15 minutes trying to get him to move forward, and eventually suffocated (ranger hardcore doesnt give you as much time in filters)

I have the same problems at the Theatre and still dont know what to do to fix it.

Same thing is happening to me. When I land after swingning across the gap Pavel is nowhere to be found. I had to watch a walkthrough video to figure out what the hell was happening because I thought I was missing something. I can't progress any further in the game because it's broken....Not cool, imo.

I also realized this thanks to the walkthrough, my lighter doesnt burn anything. Im holding my lighter and a 1h weapon just like in the walkthrough, but there's no burning animation and my character is still slowed.....

yeap same thing Pavel gon after the swing i think thsi only happens on the DLC Ranger mod

Negative, at least for me. I dont have the dlc at all, playing on normal mode.

As soldier2720 suggested, I let it "rest" overnight -- and sure enough, Pavel was present the first time I attempted to play the next evening. (I could just imagine him rerouting sometime in the middle of the night while my computer was off.) Anyway -- very strange and annoying bug that HALTED my playtime completely that first day. (I was playing without dlc also by the way.) Maybe it was because of a total restart that he came back?

I have left mine over night and I still don't have him spawning at the bottom don't know really what else I can do checked the integrety and that was fine too

Don't know if you already figured it out. But mine worked when i turned my headlamp off before swinging on the rope.

I had the same issue, nothing helped. I restarted the level, replayed the whole game from the beginning, even tried the things mentioned here. One thing helped: to change the difficulty to nightmare. (I used it before on easy level) I hope it helps you out guys - but maybe I was just lucky.

turn off SSAA for a moment on video option.....then play at the rope part,after that pavel will be there again.....after pass that part you on back the SSAA

i had to change video quality for it to work
