Change ammo type?

How do you change between normal ammo and military ammo? I don't seem to be able to switch regardless of which weapon or ammo I buy.

It doesn't do anything for me, it just reloads military ammo, normal ammo doesn't even show when I press tab, but I can see I own plenty when I go to shops.

Never mind I think I got it working, just can't see any ammo details in ranger mode and none of my weapons have see through magazines.

Just reload like normal but hold down R instead. see if that works.
