The people at the end of the hall are talking just fine, until they address you and then silence... Too weird.
Metro: Last Light didn't like my speakers much, but setting them as standard stereo speakers fixed the issue (Apparently Metro: Last Light doesn't like my 5.1 surround much, it would not use the center speaker, causing you not to hear people in front of you, wich means you have to stand sideways to hear the person... weird. Switching to just 2 speaker stereo fixed that) You need to use the system software to make the change, the only settings for sound in the game are volume settings.
