Solution found. would like to see a patch to fix this though
I think it might have something to do with the numbered order of the dsplays. My Sony t.v. always steals the [1] slot no matter what order I hook it up. I think this might be screwing with some in game resolution detection.
That seems to be what's going on in the huge crashing thread. Multimonitor or not, there is always a TV involved, and it's always on HDMI. ...and largely windows 7 with 5xx and 6xx cards.
Though at the same time some people with seemingly the same configs aren't having trouble.
I'm running 1920x1080 for my TV/monitor, but M:LL is forcing 1440x900 with no other options. Seems to me that everyone with resolution problems are having issues with varying resolutions being forced. Not all the same.
Could it be specifically due to the way each TV recieves the information, thus causing the varying resolutions? 800x600 is standard for VGA if I'm not mistaken. But mine is 1440x900, and HeavyHemi is at 1440x480... I would assume both are 1080p capable, but different reciever hardware may be the cause for difference on display.
As I said, HDMI only carries information, no translation involved. Just my thoughts on it.
I've seen both 1440x900 and 1440x480 on mine.
The later not usually manifesting until I try alt tabbing.
Not always. I reported the solution and I don't use a TV or HDMI. My multi-monitor setup involved one monitor through DisplayPort and the other through DVI.
