low fps no matter what ..
I have no clue , I'm possibly thinking its an ati/amd issue but unplayable on lowest settings possible..Hardwares specs are;

amd 8 core 8320 cpu with liquid cooling (not overclocked)
8 gigs corsair vengence ram
amd/ati 7870 ghz edition
3 1 terrabyte wd blue series 7200 rpm hard drives

I know this game is high spec but seriously unplayable.. definately below 30 fps

lol yes you do have no clue if you cannot figure out the problem is physx.

disable advanced physx and/or update the nvidia physx, i solved my problem just updating it.

yeah caught on to that.. figured it would be in video options not game. Sorry for posting it.I would have went in the forums and looked but since its a heavy game figured it would have way too many posts to fish through

Simple solution.. Goto OnLive and subscribe to the CLoudLift service and play this game in maxed out settings over their cloud streaming service. You can play this game on a tablet if you wish and it still plays in maxed out settings.

And before anyone tries to leave some smart remark please at least check your facts about OnLive before you make a fool of yourself :)

Yep, disable PhysX, even with my dual 290s and overclocked i5 4670k I can't run this game with PhysX

I managed to fix the problem by reinstalling Physx manually via the installer that comes with every driver package. Also selected my card to process Physx instead of "auto" in the settings.

Install the 337.50 forceware beta, in this release have a new version of the physx, if have a GeForce in your system or search for the version 9.13.1220

PhysX is proprietary to Nvidia, if those are new ATI 290's, PhysX will run on the CPU and won't run well at all.

However; if those are GTX 290's...
Dude, get a new card. You are just bottlenecking that poor CPU with garbage lol

Why are there Radeon users playing with PhysX

What is this heresy ?
Check this video out, it worked for me and pretty much tripled my fps.

All you did was explain how to switch to DX9 mode, which severely downgrades the graphical fidelity of the game.
