GPU usage drop and frame rate drop
I'm having an issue where the game runs good (45-55fps) for a while with GPU usage at 99%, and then it randomly drops to 15-20fps, and GPU usage to about 40% and it stays there. Its not a overheating problem because other games run at the same temps without eny problems I'm running it at 1680x1050 resolution, advanced physx on, quality very high, SSAA off, tessellation very high and texture filtering AF 16x. I have a GTX 560ti and i5 2500k. Anyone experience the same thing? any solutions/suggestions?

Turn of advanced physx

lol trying to run very high settings and physx on a gtx560 ti? really?

come back to reality and at least disable physx. physx has always been poorly optimized and gpu usage will actually drop with some physx effects when you would think it should go up. also physx seems to get corrupted pretty easy in this game with last couple of drivers. uninstall physx from add/remove programs and just install the standalone version. http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.13.1220-driver.html

alread tried reinstalling physx, and it didnt help, but today I played for about 3 hours at the same settings and about 40-60fps without a problem, it seems to be certain points, or locations where if I pass through, or stand in, it causes the drop, and for some reason the game cannot recover unless i exit to menu, and get back in game. This is odd...

yeah, i tried Geforce Experience last night and it works for me (everything on highest settings 50 to 60fps) until an hour :D today it drops to 17fps again.

it happend to benchmark too, first half of the benchmark everything is smooth, second half ? everything drops

I just want to add I am getting really low FPS as well on a GTX 770 like 15fps and it is like the game is telling the card not to use any power

I am getting the same problem. My computer shuldn't have any trouble running this game, but at certain points (I noticed usually when a lot of firelight in the area) I get severe lag. More like lag than just a FPS drop. Alos, do dead bodies ragdoll in slow motion for anybody else?

Disable advance physx.

PhysX right now is a hit and miss thing. It's better for you to have it off first if your experiencing issues, and check whether it improves.

i think i have solved the problem , in my case was enough to turn off Advanced Physx in Game Options Menu and in Video Settings i had to turn off SSAA the other settings are on highest lvl and it works perfectly. So now its your turn to check it out . I hope i helped and sorry for my English :) GL and HF

i played the game for 5 minutes, first 2 were new game stuff+ that killing monsters scene(350-400fps, 60-70% gpu usage), then i arrived at that secret base or smth, where a guy talks to me, 20fps(constant), 0% gpu usage, i thought it was the speaking scene, but when i was allowed to move it had terrible motion blur enabled so i quit
specs: ryzen 7 5800x3d cpu, rx 6950 xt sapphire nitro+ gpu, 32gb ram

Faced such a problem, the processor heated up by 80-95 percent, the computer rebooted due to overheating. I used thermal paste - it helped to reduce it a little, but in the mission "Train to the Past" the game crashed.
