Night vision does not work
I have to say so far less than impressed by this title in spite of all the glowing reviews. Outdoor sequences are just awful with night viision that does not work. WTF.

Have you tried charging your night vision? Hold F and charge it as if you'd charge your flashlight. They run on the same power source.

Thanks, I had no idea you had to charge night vision. :)

Presssing F brings up a "gadget" but it does not power the night vision goggles. Still at sea with this game. Really wished I had spent my money on another title, this one is just frustrating.
You need to equip the night vision goggles

Then bring out the charger and fully charge it

Yes tried that and nothing worked. Appreciate the help but I have decided to uninstall this one and cut my losses. Amazing revieers could put this dreadful title in the same class as the sublime Bioshock Infinite.

Good luck to those of you who persist with this one. I wish you the best of luck.

Do you even have night vizion goggles? you press n for night nizion and f for flashlight
and hold f then click to charge. It explains it to you if you read the help section you do not get night vizion until later on in the game

I think it is a pitty, game is very nice and atmospheric (at least as it was 2033), so are you sure you really do have n-vision goggles with you? Because by default you have none in game with you and you have to find it a pick it up, same as it was in 2033.

If so just equip your charger (default key F, hold it) and while holding F-key give it few squeezes by "fire" (default left mouse button).

Anyway game is of course finishable without n-vision too, i was using (when needed from time to time) n-vision scope on one of my guns.

You can check integrity cache of your game too, just for case if there is anything broken.

He has uninstalled the game and does not know why many consider this better or the same as Bioshock infinite

Stubborn person. Don't help this baby guys. He just wants this game to be like every other game and hand you stuff. People like him make Watch_Dogs and Call of Duty come into the world

Troll thread.

I love this game so much even though I never even had night vision goggles the first time I played it. The second game I actually knew where to find them but even then it took me a little while to find out that it could be charged the same way as the flashlight. But that's just what I love about games like that, learning by doing and feeling great afterwards.

Most of my playthroughs i never even found the night vision goggles till over halfway through the game, around enemies i'd just rely on my watch light most the time.

Not one piece of equipment is compulsory in this game to be honest. OP must've expected anything but, perhaps another generic shooter like CoD?

He's probably pissing over why there's no multiplayer too!

Don't bother with this one. He's a huge Negative Nancy. Just read his reviews.

Guy doesn't like anything that's actually good.
I can't imagine what he would say about Hitman: Absolution... Man should be shot by a firing squad.

Dam that's some differnt reviews
But I do out of all of them disagree with metro last light is a "bargain bin" game that's definitely not what it is, its under appreciated

Also he complains about it being too overdone which is supposed to be the point in a atomspheric game like this
