Can't find the swamp ferry

I've been stuck on this level for a week now after blowing through the rest of the game effortlessly. I found the gas tank on the plane...but now what? The forums here seem to mention a ferry, but I cannot find a ferry and have gone throguh 22+ minutes of filters (and killing everything) in a failed effort to FIND this ferry. Can someone tell me where it is? My last save is in some gas station area and I have no idea where the ferry is in relation to my current area.

not sure if there's a map, but all i remember is running off the plane's wings and then following the flags, when you get there you'll see a light and you have to start the motor with the gas that you have to get the ferry to come ! ("E")

(your compass in your log/quest book should show the direction, the thing is at the very edge of water, near a tree, if i remember correctly)

be ready to defend yourself until the ferry gets there ;)

Thanks, found it and the big creeper came out. Awesome fight. He doesn't like swallowing shotgun shells ;)
