Should I play the original Last Light, or the Redux version?

I've just finished Metro 2033 Redux, and while I had a lot of fun with it, there were some issues such as flickering ground textures, pumping the Helsing consistently softlocking my game, etc. It was enough to make me seriously consider just playing the original Metro 2033 instead. Is the Redux version of Last Light similar, or is it relatively bug-free?

Just for future reference you can fix most of the texture flickering by turning off "tessellation" in the options menu. It's not a very noticable effect so your not losing anything graphically. I'm afraid to say the OG 2033 is actually buggier then Redux in my experience with worse performance so that wouldn't necessarily fix your problems. Plus you can't buy the OG versions of 2033 or LL anymore anyway.

There isn't much difference between the two versions of LL, Redux just adds a couple of graphical effect like global illumination, comes with all the DLC and has a few extra fixes and features. Personally I didn't have any major bug issues with LL Redux so you shouldn't have any major issues.

I would advice to buy Redux because I bought usual version of LL being a cheap ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and now I'm fixing it 24/7. Redux got better optimization and all the DLCs, so it's kinda obvious you should play that one.

If you can get the original Last Light for cheap then go for it, I ve had no problems with it and the redux version isnt worth the money unless its on sale.
