Did u not read the devs response? Civ. Wars came out AFTER the first mushroom release in 2009. Pretty easy to give the game away when you blatantly copy it.
Not paying 10 freakin bucks man. You can get way more original games with mroe content on this platfrom than this rip-off!
Google tells that Civ Wars was released in 2010, while Mushroom Wars – in 2009.
"More content" and "rip-off" parts are also doubtful.
So I strongly believe that Mushroom Wars forth it's cost.
Moreover if you guys are so interested in the game origin. The only game with similar gameplay we looked at was Galcon originally created for Ludum Dare (interesting article to read http://ludumdare.com/compo/2007/11/26/galcon/ ). We love this game and wanted to bring more life into it. This is how Mushroom Wars was born. Yes we were inspired by Galcon and took the very core mechanics but evolved and developed it to make a pretty different game. 90% of all other games that were released after 2009 are our clones like Modern Conflict, Land Grabbers, Planets Under Attack and many others... (to eliminate possible further debates, we talked to devs of listed games and they confirm that were inspired by Mushroom Wars).
BTW additionally to what 1nvisible just said.

My Point: Basically it all comes down to a very simple aspect as to why this game is so much better than any of the other versions:
Extraordinarily well polished and balanced Mechanics.
Once you play it you know what I mean. I can't wait for Multiplayer and I sure hope its not too late for Mushroom Wars on PC since this unfortunately is now a way overcrowded Platform and it isn't rare these days that even a lot of great gems never get the attention they deserve.
