Lexicon Chat?

I remember playing on 2.5.. there was Lexicon chat that allowed you to type words yet was limited to words that were not inapropriate or considered mean. Steam's Wolfquest only has Phrase chat..

Will Lexicon Chat be added in the future? I wanted to know this because they're people who would like to roleplay or talk about things they like.

I would love lexicon chat back! With phrase chat, you can't even get your point across and roleplay freely.

Actually.. I was looking for Lexicon. I have not made any friends on Wolfquest yet. Is there phrase chat while you are talking with a friend or is it restricted, or is it just normal as I am typing now?

The lexicon chat was taken out due to an agreement with the Minnesota Zoo, that and it was a drain on Eduweb's resources because people would constantly try to get past the filter. There would be inappropriate sexual RPs...people always found a way to get past the filter. Eduweb even got into some legal trouble because parents saw their kids reading sexual RPs.

That's why there is phrase-only chat now.

In private games, though, there is normal chat (with the exception of blocking out swear words), and voice chat.

Oh! That's fine. I did figure some people would get past the restricted chat and do weird porno things with roleplaying, thanks for letting me know.

We appreciate your understanding on this matter. We fully recognize that restricting public games to phrase chat is frustrating, to say the least, but we had substantial and ongoing problems with lexicon chat in the old game. Since the game is intended for a broad range of ages, we settled on this new system of phrase chat in public games and nearly unrestricted chat in private games.
