getting a mate in the demo?

So I succesfully hunted down & killed (and ate) an elk. Then as per the missions I next went to find a mate to breed with. I found stranger wolf grounds and eventually ran into a female (im male). Did some chat, but got nowhere and left. did so again with (presumably a different) female wolf a few minutes later, still no chat options leading to mating.


is there some chat mini-game that im not doing right? or does the demo just not register me as having killed an elk? or, how do i do this? halp a newbie pls

The only potential mate wolves are (like your own wolf) dispersals. Those you cannot establish a bond with include members of the Specimen, Druid and Slough packs unless they are marked as being dispersals.

You'll also need a set amount of experience before dispersals will begin to appear within any of the three wolf territories. More info here[wolfquest.org]

You need a certain amount of points before you are able to find a mate who sees you worthy enough to bond with. I believe hunting 7-10 deer will get you enough.

OK i looked I only had 160.



i guess the wording leaves it open, as 'until you are skilled' but.. .ok anyway I will probably keep going it seems pretty nice to play
