Game Crashes On Launch - Mac

Hi guys! I launched WQ 2.7 tonight and after the initial dialogue window on start up, WQ will not load the main menu. It crashes after a few seconds into launch.
I'm running macOS Catalina Version 10.15.6 on a 13-inch 2016 MacBook Pro.
So far I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, did not work.
Afterwards I tried to uninstall and delete all related files I could find in my system, and restarted my computer after installation. It still doesn't work, and I don't know enough to do any further troubleshooting. If anyone has any tips or similar problems, I would greatly appreciate any advice!

Notes:
- I just updated my computer to OS Catalina, could this be the source of the issue?
- Would it be worthwhile to delete and reinstall Steam or is that unrelated?

I have had this issue since I updated to Catalina! Instead of opening WQ from Steam, go to your finder and search for WolfQuest in your applications, and open it from there. It may ask you to enter your steam login, then when it opens it should run fine! It's strange, every time I try to launch it from Steam the music starts playing then it crashes, but this method works just fine. Let me know if you need any clarification!
