Free Mode

Is there any way I can get Free Mode active without finishing the game ?

Please do not tell me it is short and or easy, for many yes, for me no. So any help in getting into the free mode would be very welcome.

no you can't unlock it before finishing the story
However, there's a few mods that add a extremely better "free roam"
with tons more options. such as the "ultimate sandbox" mod

I did get the game running in VR, the controls were not overly appealing, only way I could change direction while flying was to turn my head sharply left or right. Others may have better luck then I with the VR controls.

I do not think I saw any binding in the Steam workshop for this. but the game did run smoothly for me in VR with just the controls being less then desirable.
