game not starting up

i downloaded the game and its not starting up
when i try to launch the game from the exe itself its says openal32.dll not found
i downloaded openal32.dll but its says:
the procedure entry point alcGetintegerv could not be located in the dynamic link kibrary
D:\steamlibrary\steamapps\common\megaton rainfall\megatonrainfall.exe

Does it also happen when you launch it through Steam or just the exe manually?

when i try to launch it from steam its launching but closing after like 1 second
and when from the exe its saying those errors

Have you tried running it in a compatibility mode and or as an admin? Have you tried running it in safe mode to see if something may be interfering with the game or Steam?

Did you restart Steam,? If that doesn't work then uninstall and then reinstall. Hopefully that will work.

Yes this^. If you haven't already, do that. It also couldn't hurt to do the verification again after the reboot.

i tried to start as admin and i tried to restat steam and my pc all didnt worked
il try to uninstall and see if it will work

ok so i got the problem fixed by downloading another openal32.dll and putting it in the game folder but i have no sound any fix?

I have this problem too, a solution would be appreciated.

I have a few friends including me suffering from the same issue from starting or no sound at all. There seems to be missing files or missing DLLs not in the directory making this not able to properly run.

Let's just remember this isn't near as bad as what is going over at DICE/EA with Battlefront 2. Still stinks though of course.

Totally unplayable for me - the games running at like 500% speed - the text flys by super quick and the movement is insanely fast. The voice just cuts out really quick and turning the camera is the same. Rand it a couple of times but always the same. Gonna try uninstalling and reinstalling it now.
