Cannot play VR!!! Help!
I have been wanting to play this game since I saw it on PSVR... But when I start it on Steam VR the image only shows up on my monitor but not my Oculus. Then I try to make it start from the Oculus and it just crashes. What can I do?? Support?

When I start it on Oculus, I can see on my laptop that the game starts but as if I was going to play regularly (without VR).

When I start it on Steam VR Mode, the game launches on my computer also but I can see it tracking through my headset. Even tho in my headset I can listen the audio but I find myself in the grey room. Furthermore, a message pops out saying "Headset plugged into wrong video card." I went online and found a solution changing some settings on the NVIDIA Control Panel, but the game does not show up on the settings..

Have you had issues like this with other Oculus or SteamVR games?

Which laptop do you have? Many laptops that claim to be VR Ready are actually not - especially if you have one with Nvidia Optimus. Most of these laptops also have issues with the HDMI port being hardwired to the integrated graphics. Usually an adapter is needed if you're lucky to have another video-out port that may be hard-wired to your graphics card.

Don't look for the game specifically.
In the NVIDIA Control Panel, go to Manage 3D Settings, then on the Global Tab change the Preferred Graphics Processor to 'High Performance NVIDIA Processor'

Never ever EVER, have this global setting on AUTO. It causes all kinds of issues with all kinds of games.

Once you have that set-up you should be good to go.

Great tip Malific! I couldn't get the game to play in the headset until I followed your advice. Now it's running. Great game! :steamhappy:

I dont see Preferred Graphics Processor under NVIDIA Control Panel. I do see OpenGL rendering GPU which I can change from auto to my video card, but not sure this is the same thing...

Did you ever get this to work? I just bought the game and am having the exact same problem.

That solved my problem. Thanks a lot

nobody can play the game in VR, you get turned around and have to turn your head to get precisely back to where you wanted to be, only to have the briefest tap take you in the wrong direction, you can't adjust altitude, except by looking directly up (impossible) or directly down (very uncomfortable)...
