Another difference is that since Vic1 is pretty old and has very few settings, i couldn't yet make it go into windowed-mode. Compared to Vic2, which has an editable text file for this (though i also had to disable the intro movies).

So basically, Vic1 = for pro's but your eyes will bleed.
Vic2 = for noobs, but it looks pretty.
