Personally, I think that's a poor solution (on account of effectively making hiding your hat and whatnot a paid feature and taking up inventory space), but that is the most recent news that I know of for hiding our helms and capes.
Personally, I agree that hiding helmets, shoulders, and the like should be a free feature, and the idea of making invisible equips (literally not having a model) sold for money and taking up inventory space sounds very greedy and inefficient.
That said, I'm willing to listen to developer explanations or contrary opinions--assuming that you disagree with that line of thought, why should there be DC invisible cosmetic equips?
