"Unequip" equipped items cosmetically only
Being able to equip other things for purely cosmetic reasons [which hides whatever you're actually wearing] is a great idea but what about if you just want your gear to not show? Imagine a button on every equipped gear to "unequip" them cosmetically but still be there in essence. Like if I wanted to only show my armor and weapon (maybe a headgear too) and not the other pieces of gear like shoulders and cape. Equipped and shown (cosmetically) gear will have both the green check icon and the mask icon, while hidden equipped gear will be marked with only a green check icon. What do you ladies and gentlemen think?

This was one of my "general suggestions". I agree with you

I think just being able to unequip your weapon or helm would be a good idea. Or otherwise you will have naked players running around in a PG13 game.

You could actually unequip any piece of gear already, with the exception of the weapon. If you unequip everything you can, you would have the default class appearance (you have no armor at the start of the game, right?) so no you wouldn't be naked.

I see. But still, nobody would be naked. At least the kind of naked that makes you wanna mention the game being PG13. 4Head

I'm sure versions of unarmed will come about.

Cysero mentioned that they were working on some invisible cosmetic equips sold for AC.

Personally, I think that's a poor solution (on account of effectively making hiding your hat and whatnot a paid feature and taking up inventory space), but that is the most recent news that I know of for hiding our helms and capes.

I absolutely agree the game needs this, but i didnt suggest it becasue im pretty sure they know this already, and they have it in AQW already as an equippable item. So i figured thats what theyre going to do again, though honestly i would rather not, because we have such limited space already.
They could always just add a little button titled "Hide" on the equip screen, thus making your character look like he/she is wearing default gear.

Offering invisible cosmetic equips is actually a garbage idea, not a good move from AE if they do that. So many MMOs already allow for hiding your gear while still having them equipped, and that's without buying something with IRL currency.

You are an idiot.

Flexen, if you disagree with a post then you should explain why (or, at the very least, not resort to randomly insulting someone).

Personally, I agree that hiding helmets, shoulders, and the like should be a free feature, and the idea of making invisible equips (literally not having a model) sold for money and taking up inventory space sounds very greedy and inefficient.

That said, I'm willing to listen to developer explanations or contrary opinions--assuming that you disagree with that line of thought, why should there be DC invisible cosmetic equips?
