Yes, still limited to only 1 character as far as I know. There really is no reason to have multiple characters though because there are no restrictions to what you can do based on character count. AQ3D is not like some other free games that have you make choices that limit your options for a character.
Also, with it being a F2P game, if you really just want to have multiple characters for whatever reason, you can always make more free accounts and have multiple characters that way.
And creating a brand new account just for another character is mildly annoying but I guess I'll do that if I ever want another character. I kind of miss how the original game gave you multiple character slots (and most MMOs in general do).
