Was Mobile the right decision?
I was talking to my friends about how the android is limiting AQ3D's capabilities (performance, graphics, etc.) and wanted to see what you guys think. I know AE is a small company but in my opinion, i wished they stayed away from mobile.

i mean, thats one of the selling points of this game, being able to play from pc to mobile without any differences and have crossplay. and i feel like (not trying to offend anyone at AE) they wouldnt do anything MORE big then they are doing now if they didnt have mobile to worry about. alot of there games are super simple to design/draw/play, AQW items are liteary just redrawings of the same sword at times. and the fact that this game isnt demanding much AND is going to be a mmo is gonna be another giant selling point for low end pc players who wants to play a mmo without buying a brand new computer.

Yep! And not to mention, it may be limiting it for PC gamers but Mobile gaming is HUGE. And right now, i dont know about you, but all the mobile MMO's are utter ♥♥♥♥... And this being brought to that community which is full of people who might not have experienced a real MMO such as this and others like it, is in fact a very wise business decision made by artix entertainment...

Sadly, PC gaming IS dying.... Everything is being made mobile so you can do things on the go... Its simply more convenient and now it can reach a wider audience. How many PC gamers are there? Now, how many people are there who have phones which they play games on? I'd bet that there are more of the people with phones :P

Don't mistake their choice for being a foolish one. Its quite wise.

WTF? PC is FAR from dying. Not to mention, people spend more time on PC than their phone for sure. If anything,PC is ADVANCING with cheap PC's and laptops gettting sold all the time....

if your pc cant handle AQ3D, why are you playing games in general?

The only thing that mobile could be holding AQ3D back from on PC is in the graphics. They're lower-res than you would expect from a 2016 3D RPG.

However, that's not to say that the graphics are bad at all. In fact, AQ3D manages to use a style that works very well and still runs perfectly fine, on both PC and mobile. Plus, on PC we still get some advanced effects like shadows, bloom, higher depth of field, and so on.

Personally, I don't think mobile is holding AQ3D back from anything. It forced some things for sure, but I don't think it made anything worse. I do like the graphics. c:

After playing on the closed beta mobile, i have to admit, this could actually work! I mean, yeah there are a few fps drops here and there but overall, it's quite innovative.

without a doubt Mobile App is a must, i couldn’t even play 10mins on the PC version. bad graphics (for a full screen pc game) .. bad controls ... unplayable)
AQ3D is more a mobile app game than anything else .. played hours on the phone ...
I had no fps drops what so ever .. get a better phone man ... you can’t expect to play games with your 10eu worth phone seriously
I would love to see all their games on mobile i would play them again!

The question isn't whether or not u prefer the game on PC or mobile, of course mobile is the more viable option, it was specifically built for mobile. The question is, would you have prefer the developers make a full fledged PC mmo with no limitations , or a mobile one that will suspend graphical fidelity, but will benefit money-wise. Also, i was using an Iphone 6 but idk, maybe i already had too much space on my phone.

the latter: more money = more content for us and a higher chance of free content then paywall items.

I don't think Artix Ent. would be any good at making a 'full fledged PC mmo with no limitations'
they dont have the experience nor the budget .. v..
Artik Ent. need to stuck with what they do the best fun 2D RPG.
I also think that making AQW3D a 3D game was a mistake, a good 2D port of the existing AQW would have been as great if not better ...
