There are also quite a number of players playing the game on their mobile devices which would not show up in the Steam stats :)
I have to agree with Oishii. We're still technically in Open Beta, which means while the game is open to the public, it's not yet ready to go big and attempt to spread out to others. There's still changes that need to be done, areas/functions that need to be added, and let's not forget that just 3-4 classes (which have some changes down the road, if I read correctly) will NOT be enough to hold a larger population's attention. I mean, the lack of a healer ALONE is going to turn away many of the people who prefer having one glued to their backside 24/7 because they can't last 10 seconds without one. Plus, the lack of a party system would have killed mass popular interest if AE pushed for a bigger audience before implementing THAT.
So for now, I'd prefer we let AE get more of the necessary content out of the way before we ask them to start advertising, and remember that everyone can play regardless of whether or not they ever supported AE in the past up to this point (because I'm PRETTY sure that if AQ3D was still restricted to those of us who bought the AQ3D Guardian upgrade or made a purchase in one of AE's other games, half (if not more) of the current population wouldn't even be playing right now).
But besides that, again, as I mentioned, AE's not actively advertising the game yet, since it's still in Open Beta and still being worked on. We'll likely see them preparing to reach out to the larger population when we get closer to the end of Open Beta (which shouldn't be TOO long, given the recent progress made, with Ashfall 2 likely being about a week away depending on how fast they can deal with the remaining bugs and maps).
that why graphic are so cartoony ?
geez. and its not release yet ?
this is early acesss ? lol
