Dragon Crystals account bound?
Since you can only have one character I was considering deleting and remaking mine so I could play with a friend who may start the game soon... however I was wondering if the Dragon Crystals were account bound or character bound... basically will I lose my Dragon Crystals if I delete the character?

Also, any ETA for the patch that adds the party option, as we might just wait until then.

Thanks

It is a singular character bound currency, same goes for gold and everything else. If you delete that character everything will be deleted.

This.

It works the same way as AE's other games: any currency you purchase is bound to the character you choose/have (in this case, your AQ3D character). If you delete the character, everything on that character that's not account-bound will be deleted as well, and you won't be refunded for any gems that are lost in the process.

Thanks for the info.

Odd policy, I think every other game I've played that have a special currency for sale for real money, had that currency account wide.
Good to know.

That is incorrect. Most games do not have these types of currency, because it is a sleezy way of making money. If they wanted to, they could easiley make account bound items for everything. It's a choice they decided nievely not to do.

Okay, if you say so... I've played a lot of games in the past couple years alone and I can't recall encountering a game where Real Money Currency was bound to a character instead of the account... but we likely just play different games.

Some of the recent ones off the top of my heard that I have played that do have account bound real money currency are...

GW2, Elder Scrolls Online, Path of Exile, Rift, Riders of Icarus, Neverwinter, Vindictus, Secret World, Blade and Soul, ArcheAge, Marvel Heroes, Rappelz, Tera, Aion, WarFrame, DC Universe Online, Lord of The Rings Online, WildStar...

and I'm sure there are more that I can't recall right off hand, or ones that I do recall playing but cannot recall for sure if they had account bound real money currency like all the others did.

Dragon Crystals are bound to your account; the same with upgrades such as Guardian or any Kickstarter upgrades. These will follow you when you create a new character; however any items that you had on your character will be gone along with the deleted character. Many items obtained through upgrades/badges will be obtainable again through their associated badge shops (Melodia, Guardian Alister, Fortes). Promo codes may also be used again to reclaim your items.
Bank Vaults are on a per-character basis only, however inventory size upgrades via Kickstarter and Guardian/Collector's Guardian will transfer.
The one-time potion upgrade (999 potions) during Closed Beta will not transfer.

Thank you. That makes a lot more sense to me. I really appreciate the information.
